Taking advantage of a grant offered by WoodmenLife, members of Pleasant Grove VFD spent the weekend of Sept. 6-7 “beautifying” the station and community. The “Beautification Grant” money went toward purchasing paint and paint supplies to paint the helipad at the Pleasant Grove VFD fire station. Volunteers on the department spent Sunday, Sept. 7, putting a fresh coat of paint on the helipad and on the railing that surrounds it. Members of the community and the department spent the Saturday before picking up trash along FM 1002 that leads from the station to highway 155.
“It was great to see community members and our department volunteers working together for the betterment of our community and fire station,” stated Mandi Mischnick, PGVFD member. “We appreciated the funding and support.”
